Barry Weller

October 18, 2017 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Barry Weller & Associates’ new location at 19 N Reading Ave, Boyertown, PA

Barry Weller grew up in Boyertown and after graduating from Boyertown Area High School, he pursued his accounting degree from Kutztown University.  After working in the private sector for several businesses as an accounting supervisor, manager and controller, he pursued his dream and opened a tax, accounting and financial services practice.  He started in 1997 working from his home office and sub-leasing office space on an as needed basis.  A year later, he hired an associate and leased office space at 100 S Chestnut St, Boyertown.  By January 2005, Barry Weller & Associates had added another full-time associate and a part-time receptionist and moved 3 blocks into 216 E Philadelphia Avenue.  Five months later, Barry’s son Jason joined the firm.  Providing customized services for their clients and giving them the personal attention they need and deserve allowed the firm to increase their client base.  Over the next 12 years, the number of associates required to service these clients increased to eight.  Having outgrown their facility at 216 E Philadelphia Avenue, Barry and Lovell Weller secured larger office space in April 2017.  They took the next 3 months getting it ready for their firm to move in.  On July 14th, the four-block move to 19 N Reading Ave, Boyertown took place.  Barry and Lovell have kept much of the history of this building, which was built in 1937 as the town’s post office.  Some of the historic features include the original brick flooring and marble walls in the entrance area, the vault and postmaster signage.
